Ryan Dickie
Director
Ryan Dickie is an Indigenous filmmaker, photographer, cultural mentor and entrepreneur.
A Fort Nelson First Nation band member, and longtime advocate of the Muskwa-Kechika, Ryan is an emerging presence in indigenous documentary film, with a focus on stories of cultural and environmental significance.
Ryan serves as the Director for the Fort Nelson Handgames Society, a non-profit organization working towards cultural revitalization within Dene territory.
With over 20 years of experience in the natural resource sector as a seismic, construction and reclamation supervisor, Ryan has a unique understanding of the interface between industrial and traditional land use within Treaty 8 territory.
An avid outdoorsman, Ryan continues to live and work on his traditional territory in Fort Nelson, British Columbia with his wife and two children.
