Peter Baird
Director
Peter has been a Registered Professional Forester in the Province since 1994 and has over 30 years of experience in the forest industry, mainly working for one of the major tenure holders and as a consultant. Particular areas of interest are indigenous engagement, forest stewardship, planning and policy.
Prior to moving to BC in 1988 he grew up in New Brunswick and earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick.
Over the years Peter has served on a number of Boards including the College of New Caledonia, McGregor Model Forest Association and John Prince Research Forest.
When he is not working he can often be found pursuing outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and exploring.

The M-KMA includes Parks and Protected Areas where resource extraction is prohibited, and management zones where resource extraction may occur, according to higher standards than elsewhere in the province (e.g. best management practices for oil and gas development).
