Sean Olmstead
Director

Sean has spent more than three-quarters of his life in the Muskwa-Kechika Management area. He spent his formative years wrangling for his family’s outfitting business at the head waters of the prophet river. Sean obtained his commercial pilots license at the age of 21 and began flying in the back country.

He started Mackenzie Mountain Aviation an Air Charter Company serving the bush flying community from the Peace River reach of Williston lake into the Southern Yukon.

As Sean started flying more and more his role grew within the outfitting company that he now holds the guide outfitter license for and manages for his family. During this time, he became involved in the local chapter of the Outfitters Professional Association (Northern Guides of BC) and then became its president for two years.  Sean, became a M-KMA Board Member soon after his tenure as president and is now president of the Provincial body of the Guide Outfitters association of British Columbia

Sean has been an advocate for the responsible use and conservation of wildlife for his entire life which led to his founding of the “Working for Wildlife” organization, a not for profit society, that is dedicated to restoring and improving habitat as well as seeing to it that wildlife is found in an abundance across a diversified ecosystem.

Sean, above all else, is father to five beautiful daughters and husband to his wife, Brandie, who are all advocates working in the business of taking care of our wildlife.
